Glory for glowing jellyfish
Osamu Shimomura, along with Martin Chalfie and Roger Tsien, won the 2008 Nobel Prize for Chemistry.

I'm very happy with the news.
So, jellyfish glow because they have green fluorescent protein (GFP) in their bodies.
Dr. Shimomura studied GFP in jellyfish.
There were a lot of jellyfish in the sea near my place during summer.
I'll go and check if they glow or not next year.

A British scientist, Professor Martyn Poliakoff of Nottingham University, explains how green fluorescent protein (GFP) works. It's fun to watch this video clip.
