Eating, sightseeing and meeting people in Nagoya
A lot of photos below.

I took Shinkansen (Kodama) at Shin Yokohama at 1:16.

Nagoya1.jpg

I did a bit of writing on the train.

The train ride to Nagoya was two and a half hours.

Nagoya3.jpg

As soon as I arrived, I had a bowl of Kishimen at a noodle bar on the platform, which was delicious.

Nagoya4.jpg

I checked in at the hotel.

Nagoya5.jpg

Nagoya6.jpg

I met Azurite and went to an Indian restaurant on the 13th floor of Takashimaya. We had mango mouse and chai there.

Nagoya7.jpg

We met Sampa Shiro-Jiro, Abramovich and Mariko and we went to Sakae and had dinner at Furaibo, which is famous for chicken wings.

Nagoya8.jpg

Nagoya9.jpg

After that, we went to Nishiki to have curry Udon.

Nagoya10.jpg

I was really full.

Next morning, I had breakfast at a café with Mariko.

Nagoya11.jpg

I ordered coffee and it came with breakfast buffet. That’s Nagoya style café breakfast.

Nagoya12.jpg

Nana-chan, the famous doll, near Kintetsu Nagoya Station.

Nagoya13.jpg

Sampa, Mariko, Abramovich and I went to a famous Hitsumabushi restaurant called Horaiken, near Atsuta Shrine. Sampa drove us there. We had great Hitsumabushi.

Nagoya17.jpg

Roads are wide in Nagoya; some of them have five lanes in each direction.

Nagoya18.jpg

Nagoya19.jpg

Nagoya20.jpg

We visited Atsuta Shrine.

Nagoya21.jpg

Nagoya22.jpg

After that, we went to Nagoya Castle.

Nagoya23.jpg

Nagoya24.jpg

Mariko went home in the evening, but Sherrick and NAATI joined us for our Nagoya Off-Kai.

The Tower’s Garden, in front of Takashimaya.

Nagoya25.jpg

Nagoya26.jpg

Again, we went to Sakae. I wanted to eat Nagoya Kochin, so we went to a Yakitori restaurant.

Nagoya27.jpg

Nagoya28.jpg

Five of us sat at the counter, and there was a couple from Okayama sitting next to our group, and two girls from Gifu next to them. The Okayama couple was really friendly and outgoing. They started to talk to us, telling us jokes. They also started to talk to the two girls, and we became a kind of one group, and we went to Karaoke together afterwards, which was fun.

Next morning, we netcast a TBR show from Nagoya.

Nagoya29.jpg

Nagoya30.jpg

Nagoya40.jpg

Temmusu

Nagoya41.jpg

After the show, we went for lunch together. I had Miso-Katsu.

Nagoya42.jpg

After that, we went to a café near Nagoya Station to have Ogura Toast.

Nagoya43.jpg

I took Kodama in the late afternoon.

Nagoya45.jpg

I did a bit of writing on the train.

Nagoya46.jpg

I had more Temmusu at home.

Nagoya47.jpg

I really enjoyed my trip to Nagoya, thanks to Azurite, Sampa, Mariko, Abramovich, Sherrick, NAATI, Temma, Joy, Mr. F, the couple from Okayama and the two girls from Gifu.

Fin.

Eating in NAGOYA

Dear researcher1980

Thanks for your comment.
You did the same thing last year?
That's interesting.

Yes, Nagoya has quite a few unique dishes, such as Miso-Katsu, Temmusu and Ogura Toast.
People in Nagoya are inventive, I guess.

Thank you for supporting this blog and TBR.
You have your own TOEIC blog now.
Thanks for adding the link to this blog on yours.
I just added yours on the side bar.

Dear Marin

Thank you for the correction.
I appreciate it.
I just changed "from" to "at".
Prepositions are always problematic.

ありがとうございました。
もう少しいろいろお話しできたらよかったのですが。用事がなかったらカラオケにも行けたのですが。インターネット放送も参加できなくて本当に残念です。
