When I arrive at Nishi-Chiaba station, I saw one of my students. He was also taking the TOEIC at Chiba Keizai University so I suggested that we take a taxi to the venue. So, we went to the taxi rank in front of the station. There was a beautiful young lady waiting for a taxi and I asked her if she was going the same place to take the TOEIC. She said yes, and I asked her if she didn't mind sharing a taxi with you. She said no, so we took the same taxi. When we were in the taxi, I tried to make a conversation, but I wasn't very successful.
"Do you take the TOEIC often?"
"Do you need TOEIC scores for job hunting?"
"No, I need to take the TOEIC for my job."
"Oh, really? Well, I teach English and he's my student."
"Oh, I see."
That was all we said during our 5-minute taxi ride to the venue. My student didn't say much, just smiling. When we arrived, I bid her good luck and we parted. Actually when I went to the assigned room, she was there too, but I didn't talk to her. So nothing happened.
